From Prompt to App at AIT’s Vibe-athon

AITSPIN, the SmartDATA Lab and the AIT Student Union will host Vibe-athon on 12 September 2026, a hands-on workshop introducing non-technical AIT students to AI-powered application development.
The workshop will give participants the opportunity to use AI app builders such as Lovable and bolt.new to turn natural language prompts into a working invoice application based on a real-world business scenario. No prior coding experience is required.
Beyond building an application, participants will also contribute to a research study examining security vulnerabilities in AI-generated business applications. The session is designed to encourage experimentation while drawing attention to the practical risks that can emerge when AI is used to create software.
\Vibe-athon will take place from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm at the AITSPIN HyFlex Room 40 at AIT. Participation is limited to 18 students, who may join individually or in pairs.
