Prof. Worsak Calls for Rethink of AI Education in Bangkok Post

AITSPIN Founding Executive Director argues that AI literacy must extend beyond classrooms to Thailand’s existing workforce


Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Founding Executive Director of the AIT School of Professional Intelligence (AITSPIN), has called for Thailand to rethink how it approaches AI education, in an opinion article published in the Bangkok Post on 19 August 2026.


In “Rethinking how to teach about AI,” Prof. Worsak argues that Thailand’s response to AI must extend beyond students and universities to the millions of professionals already in the workforce. As AI changes how people work, he writes, professionals will increasingly need the judgement, skills and confidence to use these tools responsibly within their own fields.

Drawing on Singapore’s recently announced “Four Learns” framework — Learn About AI, Learn to


Use AI, Learn With AI and Learn Beyond AI — the article asks whether Thailand should develop its own national framework for AI literacy and continuing professional education.

Prof. Worsak also proposes measures including learning credits or tax incentives, employer-supported continuing education, and integrating AI competencies into professional development requirements.
